A Look at Sign1News

Sign1News is an Atlanta-based ASL news service for deaf and hard of hearing viewers.

Former Atlanta TV anchor Karen Graham serves as CEO and executive producer. She started the organization in 2016 because she had been:

"Taking college classes and volunteering in the hearing-impaired community for years. Then came that day back in 2013. My mom just looked at me and said, 'Hey why don't you merge your love of sign language with your skill as a journalist," and I said 'Hmmm.'"
