Apple CEO gives Gallaudet's commencement address

Tim Cook addressed the Gallaudet University Class of 2022 on Friday.

He told graduating students:

“I have one important piece of advice I want to share, so important that it’s the only piece of advice I’m going to share today. And that is this: Whatever you do, lead with your values.”

Gallaudet has benefited from its relationship with Apple. Every student and faculty member was given an iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and Smart Folio tablet case two years ago. The program has since expanded to include MacBooks. Gallaudet was also the first university to take part in an Apple scholarship program designed for disabled students of color. Gallaudet, for its part, helped create a guide within Apple Maps that locates deaf-owned businesses.

Troy Kotsur, one of the stars of the Apple movie CODA, attended but did not graduate from Gallaudet.
