Barbara Walters' most memorable interview

Barbara Walters, who passed away Friday, singled out her most memorable interview as the one with Bob Smithdas—who was deaf-blind.


Bob Smithdas was director of Services for the deaf-blind at the Industrial Home for the Blind in New York. He had already become the first deaf-blind person to earn a master's degree. He was an advocate for deaf-blind education and employment. He retired in 2008 and passed away in 2014. You can see the interview in the video below.
