Deaf-owned Restaurant Opens in Portland

A restaurant called "Pah!" opened this summer in a southeastern Portland neighborhood.

Lillouie Barrios and Victor Covarrubias are the owners. Barrios is deaf while Covarrubias is hearing but uses ASL. They serve pub food like burgers and fish and chips. The twist is that all the items are named after ASL terms or Deaf slang. It doesn't hurt to have a 4.9 Yelp rating either.
