Deaf rabbi translating Torah into sign language

Israel’s only deaf rabbi says he wants to make Judaism accessible for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Yehoshua Soudakoff, who was born in the U.S. into a deaf family, is leading a team of scholars and actors in the project that could take 15 years. The Times of Israel says his team has only completed the book of Ruth and are halfway through both Genesis and Esther.
