Deaf School Gets new Mascot

The Oklahoma School for the Deaf announced today that it has a new mascot: the Bison.

The old mascot, the Indians, was unanimously dropped in favor of the new one to show respect for Native American culture and tribal sovereignty. A survey of alumni showed Bison as the most popular choice. The next step will be to design a new logo and create promotional material.
