First statewide Texas Deaf Chamber of Commerce

Texas has become the first state to create a deaf Chamber of Commerce.

The first president of the group is Jason Shaw who runs an electrician contracting service and says he wanted to give deaf-business owners a way to work together. He says:

We have a mentoring program to be able to help not just business owners, but also people who want to just start a business. They don't know where to start. So we provide workshops and mentoring services to help them with starting up their business.
