Football Team at Deaf School is Undefeated

The football team at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside is only two victories away from winning the division championship for the first time.

The Cubs beat the Desert Christian Knights, 84-12 this past weekend. Their record is now

11-0 in their eight-player league designed for smaller schools. The school opened in 1953 and this would be the team's first championship. Keith Adams, who leads the team, told the New York Times:

“I sometimes still can’t believe how well we played this year. I knew we were good, but never in my dreams did I think we would dominate every game.”
