Marlee Matlin is heading back to the Oscars

Marlee Matlin will return to the Academy awards 34 years after winning her Best Actress award.

This time she is coming as an executive producer for a live action short called "Feeling Through." She said:

"It moved me and that's why I'm on board and supporting this Oscar campaign because it's all about humanity. And having the first deaf blind actor be in a film, I mean, it's just a bonus and I hope Hollywood sees that and I hope that Hollywood knows that casting like this is important."

ABC-7 has a video report or read the story here.

Matlin will also present an award at the Oscars, which take place Sunday, April 25.
