Order from Biden on sale of hearing aids

Four years ago Donald Trump signed an order calling for hearing aids purchases to require a prescription. Today, President Biden is issuing an executive order to do the opposite. It will direct the Department of Health and Human Services to propose rules that would allow hearing aids to be sold over the counter at pharmacies. Hearing aids are expensive and dominated by just a few companies. The White House says this order could help to change that by promoting more competition.
