The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced the settlement in a press release. The position was for the Ridgefield, Washington facility. Dollar Tree also agreed to make sure its policies and procedures at the Ridgefield facility follow ADA law. EEOC Senior Trial Attorney Raymond Cheung said:

“We are encouraged by this employer’s agreement to take steps to make its warehouse jobs available to hearing impaired applicants and to ensure its policies and procedures clearly communicate the rights and responsibilities of managers, employees and applicants under the ADA.”
