The Rose Parade Princess who is Deaf
The "royal court" of the 134th Rose Parade making history by including a "princess" who is deaf.

Salia Baligh says:
“When I was 5 years old - being a Pasadena girl - I never thought a girl with hard of hearing could ever be a princess but I wanted to prove them wrong,”
She was born without ear canals and now uses a cochlear implant. During her time with the parade, she'll be making more than 140 public appearances on behalf of the Tournament of Roses. NBC4 in Los Angeles has a video report (or read the story here).
